Speedgun.

The Mendelssohn  Universal Model E fits to almost every camera that has a shutter with a cable release socket.
After cocking the shutter and cocking the Speedgun by pulling down the Pull Knob as far as it will go, the Speedgun cable trips the shutter by depressing the Push Button on the back of the Speedgun.

After cocking the Speed gun, the indicator will show green. By depressing the push button the electronic releases the magnetic tripper.

The original manual.

Cock the camera shutter, swing the safety catch aside and depress the push button on the back of the speedgun.
By pushing the Push Button, the Magnetic Tripper is activated and trips the shutter by  the release cable.
At the same time the bulb is ignited.
